Rates

Charges are in line with the Society for Editors and Proofreaders current recommended minimum hourly rates.

Copy-editing (paper) £19.00
On-screen copy-editing £20.50
Substantial editing and rewriting £23.00
Proofreading, simple indexing £17.50
Project management £25.25

Copywriting
Projects are individually priced and billed, with all fees agreed beforehand. Where additional work or changes to the brief will affect costs, this too will be discussed and agreed in advance. As a guide, copywriting fees are based on £40 per hour, or £250 per 7.5 hour day, for work from home or within a 50 mile radius.

Discounts are available for advance weekly bookings. Late cancellations will incur a 17.5% fee.

Evening, weekend or very quick turnaround is charged, by prior agreement, at £80/hr. As my clients know, however, I am flexible and reasonable.
